Self-Defence Course

Include details, reflections and learning points in your articles. Distribute the work among yourselves. I need people to volunteer themselves and write out the articles listed above. Submit to me by Dec 4 midnight via email at weilunkoh1993@hotmail.com.

Sec 2 Self Defense Course

There will be a Self Defense Course held for the sec2s this coming Friday,28th Nov 2008,From 9am to 11am.The attire will be VS P.T kit.

NYAA Bronze

Those who are interested to take part in NYAA Bronze are to download the NYAA enrolment form here. Print it out and fill in accordingly. Do not fill in areas in which you are unsure of. I need someone to volunteer and collect all the forms by next training. Bring along $7 as well for the registration fee.

Under the ‘LEAPS’ CCA grading scale, CCA points gained from NYAA Bronze will be counted under ‘attainment’ of ‘achievement’. You will get more if you were to continue with NYAA Silver. In addition, you will also get a NYAA badge.

NAPFA and Skills and Contct List

1) Napfa.

You guys had received your NAPFA results for the year of 2008. I would need these results and we would take some actions to help some of you guys.

We need them organised in a table format with gold/silver/bronze/fail
Please type it out and highlight the people who failed in RED

Thus, we need the squad to collect the data for me by the first training of december.
We will not pin point anyboady to take charge of this, but, someone please take up this leaderhip oppotunity and go collect the infomation.

2) SKILLS

We need a list of activites you guys are very good in.
Eg. chess, rubric cube, halo3, cycling.
Please do not give us crap, we would really like to explore what you guys are good at and then, we can make training more fun, so this list is very important

same thing as NAPFA, somebody please take up leadership position. I would like a different person to take charge now

3) Contact List

I would like the contact list to be sent to every single person in ArcaineZ.

ATC Tips

Having just returned from the ATC component of my Officer Basic Training Course, I would like all Sec 2 Cadets to take note of the following. The weather at Ubin at this time of the year is very wet and it tends to rain quite heavily with fairly strong winds. So there is a chance your stuff might get wet, this is how to prevent it!

Get hold of 2 trash bags, use 1 to line the inside of the bag that you will be using, and pack all your things into the trash bag. Keep the other trash bag and use it to cover your bag whenever you are out of the tent and thereafter use your tent groundsheet to cover all the bags inside the tent. This should help you keep your things dry.

If you want to go the extra mile, pack your things into zip lock bags, e.g. shirts into one zip lock bag, shorts into another zip lock bag etc. Remember to flush out the excess air inside the bag before zipping it up. Large zip lock bags can be bought from the army surplus shops at Beach Road Food Centre.

Finally, don't forget your windbreakers, ponchos and insect repellent.

There will be training this coming Friday,14th Nov 2008.You guys will be having your Pre-ATC training so I expect all to turn out.Training will be from 8am-12pm

Sec 4 ROD changed to 20 Nov Thursday afternoon

Attendance is compulsory.

Sec 3 Survival Camp 2009

The Sec 3 Survival Camp is on 5, 6 and 7 June 2009.

Promotion to Corporal

Mr chan has said that as long as you turn up for the ATC from 17-19 november, he will promote all the sec2s that go, to corporal rank on the last day of the camp.

Banner painting for UTC

The banner painting for UTC will be held from 15-18 of december. Attendance is complsory for all.

Training on 7/11/08

Hey guys, there will be training this friday, 7th november. Please do turn up and take note that there will be a badge test and attendance is compulsory. Sec 2s please spread the message to the people in your squad. CI will also be coming down. If you are not able to turn up, please do submit an exucse letter or MCs to me.
