Friday parade on 30/01/09

Sec3s, there will be training this friday on the 30th of january. Fall in time will be 245 and dismissal time will be 530. Please do take note that there will be muster parade this friday similar to the one we had last week. Chairman and others who have read this please spread it on to your other squad mates via phone call or sms.

You guys are to fall in in your full uniform but all are to bring their pt kit as well so that you can change into that

NYAA Bronze

The 4 people who submitted your NYAA forms but have not received the NYAA booklets pls find me on Thurs morning, before morning assembly, at the canteen or 4C assembly area to collect your NYAA booklets.

Future updates on NYAA blog will be posted at this blog. Pls confirm your NYAA I/C by next training as I need to give him access to the NYAA blog.

Basically, I need a committed and responsible person to be NYAA I/C. The NYAA I/C should become an NCO with the post of NYAA Coordinator.

Hi, sec3s , just another gentle reminder, there will be training this thurs 22/01/09. There will be muster parade followed by games for you guys. please spread this message around to all your squad mates that you see.

ALL SEC 2 AND SEC 3 CADETS ARE TO PERFORM TRAFFIC MARSHAL DUTY AT ROAD SAFETY PARK ON 12 FEB AFTERNOON. PLEASE KEEP THIS AFTERNOON FREE. FULL NPCC UNIFORM.

ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY.

CHANGES IN DATES FOR EVENTS

As Victoria School NPCC Unit had a change of Area from Area 12 to Area 11, the dates for the various events has also changed. Below are the confirmed dates.

10 Mar - S3 Marksmanship Shoot
24 April - S3 Bedok Police Division Visit
29 – 31 May - S3 Survival Camp

Attendance for these events is compulsory.

Trainings for the next 2 weeks

Hi sec3s, please take note that there will be no friday parade this week on the 16 of jan as there will be MOE visitors in our school.

Next friday is chinese new year celebrations and hence there will also not be training next friday. However training for next week has been postponed to thursday. Squad Chairman and others please spread this message to every person in your squad and inform them about next week's training. Those people whom i have assigned you to call some1 else please also do so.

NYAA Bronze

Hi Blizzeroidz,

For those who still wants to sign up for NYAA Bronze, pls download the form and submit it to me by next training. This will be the last chance you all can sign up so for those who have not sign up, you all are highly encouraged to do so.

This is what most of your squad mates filled in:

Service: Service at MPFSC (Marine Parade Family Service Centre)
Expedition: ATC
Skills: Campcraft
Physical recreation: Soccer

For those of you who have collected your booklets, fill in accordingly. Get a passport size photo for your record book. Feel free to ask any questions regarding the booklets.

For your diary entries, one person will be appointed to write down all the entries and the rest of you are to copy from him. You can choose to use this blog or create another blog to post your NYAA entries. The decision is yours but do bear in mind that NYAA will last you until even after you pass out. So think carefully.

So far, you guys have completed the expedition part which is ATC. If you were to check your diary, there to parts that you will need to fill up - preliminary training and qualifying venture. You guys can refer to to this page to find out how to write down your entries.

As for the other sections, campcraft and soccer will be done during training times. As for service, u guys will start in March, most probably during the March holidays. Based on past experiences, the service section is the section that gives the most problems. The appointed person that is writing down all the entries will need to plan service sessions for his squad and I can enusre you that planning is definitely not an easy task.

Lastly, the person who is appointed to write down NYAA entries will most probably be enusred a NCO post which is my post. But bear in mind that you will be tasked with the job of enusring that at least 80% of those who signs up gets NYAA bronze. Of course, it will definitely be better to get more people to receive the award but that is not my concern yet. Right now, I will just need someone that is committed and has a sense of responsibility to volunteer himself to take this job.

I would like the volunteer to tag on the tagboard. Once again, think carefully before you take up this job.

Friday training - 09/01/2009

Sec 3s, do take note that there will be training this coming friday on the ninth of january. It will be the first training of the year. Everyone who reads this message please spread it on to everybody else, last year class ICs please do your role for 1 last time before we appoint new class ICs. Squad chairman and assistant chairman please assist in calling up all those people who cant access the internet and inform them of this fri's training.

The attendance for UTC was very good, and i hope that your squad will be able to continue and keep up that attendance of 22 for the rest of the trainings this year. Please do also remind Zhi Wei about the training as well because he has not turned up for 1 yet. Squad chairman, please do up a new list of the people in the various classes, print it out and pass it to me by this friday.

Briefly, you guys will be having a couple of activities this friday. Basically, you will start of with training for NPDP and it will be followed by basic physical exercise and games. All those people who signed up for NYAA bronze please also take note that your SIR wei lun will be giving out the booklets and also giving you guys a briefing about it this fri.
